“Home is the place where, when you have to go there, they have to take you in.”

Now that is a nice quote from Robert Frost

And that is a nice house as well.

That’s the Lewendal house, built by Anders Lewendal, that I wrote about a couple of months ago.

Anders built the house in Bozeman, Montana to demonstrate that building an American made house was not that difficult to do.  Well, according to ABC News, Anders efforts are paying off.  Builders from around the country are following Ander’s lead and starting to build All American houses of their own.  A builder in Spokane, Washington, Condron Homes LLC, is currently building an All American house.  According to Corey Condron, building a house using only American-made products is not that hard.  I am going to try to get a hold of Corey and interview him for the blog.  My hat is off to all these American heroes for their efforts in constructing houses using only U.S. products!

Not all of us can do what Anders and these other builders are doing since most of us simply don’t have the skills to build a house.  Take my word for it, you wouldn’t want me to build you a doghouse.  But we can do what Anders did in our own way.  Starting today, make a commitment that the next thing you buy is going to be made by members of our extended American family.  Need a new mattress?  Buy one from Leader.  Need a next pair of jeans?  Buy a pair from Buddy Jeans or Texas Jeans.  Need a pair of khakis?  Buy a pair from Jack Donnelly.  Need anything else under the sun that is made in the U.S.?  Just visit americansworking and you will find it.  And after you discover how great your American made mattress, jeans, khakis, brooms, socks, or other product is, tell your friends!  Tell your folks!  Tell your boss and tell your coworkers!  Together, we can create hundreds of thousands of middle class jobs for the people in our country who are simply waiting for an opportunity to get back to work.  Ok, cue the Rocky theme!
